One hundred things about me. Part biography, part confessional.

1. I’m a voracious reader, though I don’t read books as much as I used to - mostly I read online.

2. I’m a coffee addict.

3. I have taken piano lessons, played the flute as a child and tried guitar for two years (but haven’t touched any instrument since grammar school).

4. I have a tendency to procrastinate things.

5. I want to write a novel.

6. David Hasselhoff is my childhood hero and I still think he’s hot and want to meet him.

7. NYC is just about the coolest place I’ve ever been.

8. If I could go back and experience certain moments in history, I would chose to see Elvis live, to have been at the soccer final of 1990 when Germany won the world cup, to have witnessed The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert For Aids Awareness in 1992, to have had the chance to work with Helmut Newton.

9. I hold my breath when overtaking lorries in road works on the motorway.

10. I can’t stand bananas. Never have liked them.

11. When I was a teen I loved Beverly Hills 90210.

12. I like chimpanzees. They’re cute little creatures.

13. I should have been born in another era.

14. I always sing in my car.

15. I’m addicted to read other peoples blogs. I find it fascinating to see how they post photos, personal things and funny anecdotes.

16. It’s important that I have something to look forward to.

17. I really had to learn how to safe money.

18. My favourite ice cream is cherry.

19. Comfort foods to me are: ice cream, hot chocolate and all kinds of cake.

20. I’m sure I would be happy if I just had more things. I wish I were independently wealthy!

21. I want a son and I want his name to be Kian.

22. I always sleep with at least a sheet over me. I think it’s a security thing.

23. I’m a music addict. I still remember all the lyrics of songs that I listened to years ago.

24. People say that I’m smart. I often doubt that I am.

25. My favourite holiday is Christmas

26. I love being able to spend the day in pyjamas if I can. They are so comfy!

27. A good song can lift me out of a bad mood.

28. I don’t like drinking tea. I just don’t. I don’t know why. Give me coffee or juice or lemonade any day.

29. I could not sleep without soft sheets and lots of pillows. They are THAT important.

30. I like dogs more than cats. In fact I can’t stand to be around cats.

31. I love looking out the window when it’s snowing because it makes the world look beautiful. 

32. I’m a little bit superstitious. I make a wish when I pull out an eyelash, etc.

33. I’m good at remembering people’s names, birthdays, anniversaries, etc.

34. I should read the news more often.

35. I like to wander through bookstores very slowly and lose track of all time.

36. I like to cook, and am quite good at it.

37. I love ballroom dancing and I hope to learn it properly one day.

38. One of the most romantic movies for me is The Notebook.

39. I’m a shoe person. Like some women I can’t resist filling my closets with infinite pairs of cute little shoes, boots, etc.

40. I really like a dark bar with cool music and art.

41. I love the smell of matches when you first strike them. I know that is a strange one but I do love that smell.

42. I love to learn. Of all the things in this world, I think that learning is one of the most unexplained, beautiful gifts that we have.

43. I find black and white pictures amazing. I think they’re beautiful in their simplicity and I adore them.

44. I wonder if my dislike of anything remotely fishy/seafood is all in my head.

45. I like the idea of living in Alaska.

46. I tend to correct other people’s grammar and pronunciation mistakes, while they are still talking.

47. I can be the laziest and the hardest working person I know.

48. I think the worst way to die would be drowning- you can see, hear and feel what is going on but have no way of controlling it.

49. I love spending time organizing my stuff.

50. I love proving people wrong, especially right there on the spot.

51. I was born with only two wisdom teeth.

52. I would really like to learn Russian, Polish or Chinese.

53. Even though German is my mother tongue, I often find myself thinking in English and using English words when I talk to people.

54. I love paper, especially books and notebooks.

55. My favorite color is black.

56. I am right - handed.

57. I miss Friends and Sex and the City.

58. I have a very specific way of putting groceries in my car and if someone does it differently I freak out.

59. I like knowing things before other people.

60. I have a dry sense of humor. The things that make me laugh are the things I shouldn’t be laughing at.

61. I just don’t understand all the fuss over Star Wars.

62. I read postsecret religiously.

63. I am addicted to the internet.

64. I always leave for my classes an hour early because I am afraid of being late.

65. I love jewellery. I never wear it though. I forget to put it on in the mornings.

68. If a new movie comes out that I have been wanting to see, I pretty much have to be there the day it opens.

69. I don’t have much respect for people who uses drugs of any kind.

70. I care far far too much about the opinion of others especially their criticism.

74. I get crazy sentimental about things, i save all the tickets i have from when I visit people, from concerts, etc.

75. I miss the time when my Grandma was still healthy.

78. I could right eat a KitKat. I love KitKats.

79. I would be very sad if I didn’t get an Easter basket, a filled Christmas stocking, and a wrapped birthday gift. Those make my day.

80. I tend to “overthink” things, which in some ways is a good thing, but in other ways probably is not. I am trying to be more spontaneous, but even when it comes to that I need to rationalize things in my own mind.

82. I want to meet George Clooney, Johnny Depp and Sean Connery. I think they are very attractive men.

83. When I drink alcohol I like to drink Bacardi Coke.

84. I love to take loooong showers.

85. I’ve been told I have a “strong” personality and have yet to understand exactly what that means.

86. I have read all the Harry Potter books.

87. I always shop for the best deal, but refuse to compromise on quality.

88. When I set the alarm clock I re-check it at least 3 times.

89. I don’t like my hair.

90. My first car was a Nissan Micra in black. I called it “Justus”.

91. I don’t like underwater scenes in movies. They scare me.

92. I am forever nostalgic. Always wanting beautiful moments back.

93. Every once in a while I get on a health kick… It never last long.

94. Sometimes I run scenarios that would never happen through my head because I’m a dreamer and a hopeless romantic.

95. My cell phone is always by my side… it doesn’t ring as much as I’d like though…

96. Whenever I order pizza, there’s a ninety five percent chance I will order a pizza Hawaii.

97. I cry when watching sad movies.

98. I was born on a Sunday.

99. I need 8 hours of sleep each night or else I can’t (or won’t) function like a normal human being.

100. I have never in my life seen a shooting star. I will keep looking.
